Dynamic QR Codes
Support
Stuck? Most questions are answered on Troubleshooting — a scan that doesn’t add to the cart, a coupon that won’t apply, short links that stop opening. If it isn’t there, here’s where to ask, and what to send so we can help on the first reply.
Free plugin: the WordPress.org forum
Support for the free plugin is on its WordPress.org support forum. It’s also where the Support link on the plugin’s row in Plugins takes you. Start a new topic, one problem per topic; answers there help the next person with the same question too.
The forum is public. Don’t post passwords, licence keys, customer names or order details there.
Pro: contact us directly Pro
Pro customers get direct support, not the public forum.
- From your dashboard (the quickest way). In Plugins, click Support on the Dynamic QR Codes row. When your site is connected to your Pro account, it opens a Contact us form right inside WordPress.
- Site not connected? Then that link brings you here. Connect the site by activating your Pro licence key on it, and the Contact us form becomes available. Your customer account (My Account at the top of this site) has your licences, downloads and invoices.
- Can’t connect it at all? A staging copy, a lost licence key, a site that’s down: email support at itk-agency.com from the address you bought Pro with, so we can find your licence.
What to include
A request with these gets answered in one go instead of three:
- Versions — WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, and Dynamic QR Codes (and whether Pro is active). WooCommerce → Status shows them all; Get system report there copies a full report you can paste.
- What you did, what you expected, what happened — step by step, with the exact message on screen. A screenshot helps.
- Which code — its six-character address (e.g.
k7m2xa, shown on All QR Codes), its kind (product, link, bundle, blank) and its coupon, if any. For a coupon problem, the coupon’s rules: minimum spend, product restrictions, usage limits, expiry. - Anything in front of the site — a page-cache plugin, your host’s cache or a CDN, a security plugin. They’re behind many “the scan does nothing” reports.
If you use WP-CLI: wp qrcw status
One command prints the plugin’s health — paste its output into your request:
wp qrcw status
It shows the plugin version, whether the database update has run for it (and the last step that failed, if any), whether short links are on, and how many codes you have by status. If it says the update hasn’t run, wp qrcw upgrade runs it now — or simply open your WordPress dashboard once. More on the Developers page.
The diagnostic log
For anything about scans, coupons or orders, the log is what we’ll ask for:
- Go to QR Codes → Settings → Cleanup and switch on Enable diagnostic logging under Diagnostics.
- Reproduce the problem once — scan the code, place the test order.
- Open WooCommerce → Status → Logs, pick the log with the source
qrcwand download it. - Switch logging off again.
The log holds order and product IDs, not names, emails or addresses. Even so, on the public forum paste only the lines around the problem; Pro customers can send the whole file through the Contact us form.
